What this website stores
If you submit an email, the site stores the address, submission time, and your optional update preference. An email submission is unverified until a sign-in link is completed. Submitting an email alone does not unlock access.
When you sign in with ChatGPT, the hosting platform provides a site-specific user identifier and email. The site uses that identity to save your selected chess username and update preference. Chess handle ownership is not verified.
Sign-in and email
Email sign-in, when enabled, sends a single-use link through Resend. Links expire after 15 minutes. Session cookies are secure, HTTP-only, and expire after 30 days. Product updates are optional and separate from sign-in. Verified email members can separately choose weekly chess reviews and occasional product updates in Account settings. Optional emails include unsubscribe links. Resend processes delivery and topic preferences; the site records delivery status and suppresses bounced or complained-about addresses. Weekly reviews use public Chess.com games from the previous complete Monday–Sunday period in UTC.
Chess data
Player lookups send the requested username to Chess.com’s public API. Public profile summaries and game archives are cached on the site’s server. The k27goat record is available as a public demonstration. Other detailed lookups require website sign-in.
Your controls
You can change your saved player and update preference from the account page and sign out to clear the current website session. Your theme preference is stored in this browser. No advertising tracker is included in this version.
